Setting the Tone

Tradition says that what you do on New Year’s Day sets the tone for the year. That seems like I should have a really BUSY day, then, doesn’t it, since I have a ton of things I’d like to accomplish this year. Writing regularly has always been important to me and the blog is needing to become a bit of a priority.
Other priorities for the year:
- some continuing education (I registered for a major class yesterday)
- learning to play golf well enough to not be self-conscious playing with good golfers (golf lessons in progress, going to get some new clubs to replace the ones Buddy Boy gave me)
- healthier self – reducing my blood pressure, cholesterol and body fat, so this includes watching what I eat and getting some exercise (breakfast consumed, gym bag packed for later tonight)
- streamlined lifestyle (too complex for this short bullet, but it involves routines, simplicity steps, and better networking)
No, these aren’t resolutions, just basic goals and priorities. My guiding principals for the year fishtail with these priorities (coming soon!).
I’m getting ready to head out the door and go to the golfstore. What are YOUR goals/priorities for 2009? Now, don’t forget to eat your black-eyed peas!
