All of Those Tourists…

On the way to taking the 13-year-old to school this morning, the IPod Song God of Shuffle played Margaritaville.
“They played that song over and over on the cruise. Almost too much.“ She had gone on a cruise with her dad and step mom this summer.
I smiled. “Well, it’s Jimmy Buffet and it is a basic beachy party kind of song.”
“Well, I have an issue with all those “tourists covered in oil” thing. Ewww. Seriously.”
I glanced over at her, seeing the look of distaste on her face.
“It was written 70’s. People used suntan oil, not sunblock.”
She laughed. I had assumed the wrong thing.
“It’s not that. Some of those people just don’t need to be covered in oil. You know. Like those older and really hairy men. They should keep their shirts on. Ewwww.” She shuddered.
And I laughed. I didn’t tell her I kinda like those kind of guys. No need to give ME that look……
