After

It’s two days after the election.   DC has certainly been interesting as politicals begin to make transition plans and feds wait to see what will come.

Tonight I had dinner with some good friends – all Republicans.  One lobbyiest, a political strategist, a charity director and a business owner.  The elections, of course, was much of the discussion – the strategies, what went wrong, what went right.  Time and again the liberals said if McCain won, they would be “leaving the US”.  We heard that four years ago that if Bush left, they would be leaving, but they didn’t, did they?  (Alec Baldwin).  This is the first time I heard Republicans say they are considering working outside the US for eighteen months or so.

No matter your politics, remember that The President deserves respect.  He is, after all, THE President.   I pray that President-Elect Obama will always keep in mind the people that elected him – and do the best by them.

As I mentioned Election Night, I hope that all of the vocal supporters of Obama will continue to be not only supporters, but continue to be involved – and vocal about the positive changes they see – and continue to remind the new President that they are looking to him to lead Change.  It is their DUTY to feedback to the President that they are happy with how he is leading….or else be honest and VOCAL that they are unhappy if that is the case.  Please, don’t be complacent.  Be vocal.  Stay involved.

Time for bed for me.  I have a very early flight in the morning.
